Mr. Samuel Deng Maguet is a highly regarded evaluation expert with over 20 years of extensive experience in private sector development, cooperative movement, livelihood, food security and agriculture. Holding a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation, a Master of Science in Administration (Food Security), and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Mr. Samuel has a solid academic background complemented by hands-on expertise.
Throughout his career, Mr. Samuel has successfully conducted evaluations, baseline assessments, and developed evaluation methodologies for various projects funded by prominent organizations such as the EU, USAID, NORAD, WFP, World Bank, and UNDP.
His responsibilities included crafting clear policy frameworks, conducting surveys, collecting and analysing data, as well as writing comprehensive reports. He has specialized in assessing food security status, evaluating livelihood situations, and identifying vulnerable populations in rural areas.
Mr. Samuel has played a key role in market research and analysis aimed at value chain development to enhance rural agricultural productivity, bolster food security, and build resilience among farmers in the face of climate change. He possesses expertise in leading Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) projects, developing project log-frames, detailed M&E plans, and designing effective qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments.
